Dough for Dumplings

360 g All-purpose flour
1 egg
120 g water 
6 g salt
400g Ground beef
6 g salt ( for water) 

Filling for Dumplings

400 g ground beef 
2 small yellow onions (minced)
Salt & pepper 


  1. Small dice/grate yellow onions mix together with ground beef in bowl season with salt and pepper to taste and reserve for the filling of the dumpling.

  2. Mix ingredients together to form a dough and Knead for 6-8 min.
    Once combined place in a stainless steel and place plastic wrap over the bowl.  Let the dough rest 30 min in fridge. Take dough cut into 4 equal pieces cover extra pieces with damp towel to keep from drying out. Roll dough until very thin. 

  3. Cut out circles in dough with a glass or anything that can make a medium sized circle 
    Take about 1 tbsp filling roll into ball then place in cut out dough 
    To make pelmeni shape fold circle in half over filling seal the edges and bring two corners together 

  4. In a large pot but water and bring to a boil. Once brought to a boil cook pelmeni for about 10 min , but reduce the boil to a simmer and then remove from the water using a slotted spoon. Place the dumplings on a paper towel to dry them. 

  5. In a sauté pan melted butter and place the dumpling in the pan. Then season with dill, and sour cream to taste.
