Chorizo Slider Burgers Recipe

Burgers are a classic summer dish, but I add chorizo for a special twist. These sliders are a fun offering for family get-togethers or parties in the park.
Serve my roasted corn salad with these burgers as a refreshing side.

1/2 pound ground lamb

1/2 pound ground pork

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cumin

freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon driedoregano

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

12 brioche slider buns

Burger Toppings (optional)

2 heirloom tomatoes

2 pickles

1 pickled red onion

2 jalapeno peppers




In a large bowl mix the lamb, pork, garlic powder, salt, cumin, pepper, oregano and paprika in a bowl. With wet hands to prevent sticking, form the mixture into 2-inch balls.

Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Working in batches, add the meatballs and sauté until cooked through, about 4 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Serve with bread and butter pickles, sliced tomato, mustard, mayonnaise, seared jalapeno, pickled red onion.
