Brown Sugar Wings

INGREDIENTS

  • 2⅓ cups brown sugar

  • 4 sticks butter

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 8oz franks hot sauce

  • ½ oz red wine vinegar

  • salt to taste

METHOD

  1. place butter in a large sauce pot to melt it down. (don't burn the butter)

  2. then add brown sugar to the butter and combine well.

  3. when the butter and sugar is combined then add hot sauce and red wine vinegar, bring to a boil.

  4. then add a little water to the cornstarch and slowly add to the sauce, keep stirring while pouring into the sauce so no lumps develop.

  5. salt to taste. 

DREDGE FOR WINGS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1⅔ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp  cornmeal

  • ¾ cup cornstarch

  • ¼ cup garlic powder

  • 3 tbsp onion powder

METHOD

  1. wash, clean your chicken wings and then dry it well. place wings into the dredge and coat thoroughly. 

  2. fry the wing at 300 degrees first fry then 350 degrees on the second fry to get it nice and crispy. then toss chicken in the brown sugar sauce.
