This past Friday, I had the pleasure of joining Travel & Leisure Magazine as they celebrated their 40th Birthday. To ring in their great accomplishment, T&L hosted an extraordinary global bazaar that housed thousands of square feet of food, fun, and festivities. I was joined at the Park Avenue Armory by some of the country's top chefs in providing fare for the event, including Chefs Masaharu Morimoto, Daniel Boulud, Scott Conant, and Jose Andres.Hundreds of guests walked around the Armory as relished in the many sights, smells, and sounds of foreign destinations like Barbados, South Africa, Singapore, India, and the US Virgin Islands. Constant shows and performances periodically erupted through the crowd like Caribbean dancers on stilts, the Brooklyn Step Marching Band, and African drummers. It was certainly a huge and festive event to mark T&L's grand birthday!
The T&L Global Bazaar continued celebrating and went on for the entire weekend. Â I want to congratulate Travel and Leisure Magazine for their great event and on their milestone birthday. You sure do know how to throw a party! I can't wait for next year's!
