If you love pie, then today should be your favorite holiday next to Thanksgiving. Today is Pi Day, associated with the mathematical constant, pie which is roughly 3.14159265. Pi is actually an number that neither ends nor repeats. Even if you haven't thought of pi since high-school, that's no reason to sit on on the celebration today. Instead of solving math equations, bake a pecan pie! No time to bake? Pick up a delicious pie at Four and Twenty Blackbirds in Brooklyn, New York, Mission Pie in San Fransisco, California or at Flying Saucer Pie Company in Houston, Texas.
Of course, there's another kind of pie that's worth eating in the name of celebration: pizza pie. Stop into one of these Top 25 Pizza Spots in the Nation for a slice of the pie.
How will you celebrate Pi day? NPR's Doreen McCallister suggests many ways here.
