It's great to hear the good news from Robert Sietsema's review of Red Rooster in the Village Voice. He dubs the nuts with sour cherries and injera "so good you'll want to keep a bag of it in your desk drawer" and calls the cooking "international fusion at its most effortless and apt."
He calls the appetizers the place where "imagination really takes flight" but deems the Sweet Potato Doughnuts "one of the best things on the menu...a matched set of five killer sweet-potato doughnuts...holes, really, filled with an oozy yam cream and sided with lemon sorbet."Â I have to agree, they're just the right size to add something sweet to your day.
Thanks to Mr. Sietsema for the positive highlights of our restaurant.
