For those of you who call themselves "foodies" and are keeping up with the Occupy Wall Street movement, here's your chance to join in the fight this weekend. Tomorrow, Saturday, October 29th starting at 1pm, foodies and other sympathizers will gather at Zuccotti Park to protest against big food companies and other food political issues affecting Americans today, like genetically-modified foods, corporate control of agriculture, and rising food prices. With such issues affecting all of us, all those who want to see changes take place in the food industry are encouraged to attend and take part in the Wall Street demonstrations.
With recent news of a violent police response in Occupy Oakland, solidarity and support for the injured Marine Veteran Scott Olsen have filled the streets of New York City and nationwide. Stay tuned to OccupyWallSt.org for updates on the movement and other demonstrations for Occupy Wall Street.
