When carving up a chicken, sometimes I'm more in the mood for dark meat than white. In "Come To the Dark Side of the Chicken; It's Tastier," NPR argues that although not very many Americans like dark meat, they should give it a try. Dark meat gets a bad rap as being fatty and unhealthy, but chicken legs actually have lots of nutrients and not a lot more fat than the breast. Across the world, people love eating dark meat. From France to Russia, dark meat reigns supreme. Americans should give dark meat another chance.
