Strawberry Tiramisu Recipe

It’s ok to admit that there you have post summer blues, especially when the fall kicks right in. Feeling frustrated to layer up? Bothered that your ice-cream-eating days are probably over until well into the New Year? Perhaps you need a little ‘pick me up’ and what better way to do it than with a soft, creamy and most consolatory Tiramisu.

Like a best friend that will not let you down, treat her like your inner sound board as you draw her in, spoon by spoon. A little bit chocolate, a little bit espresso and a lot of Marsala softened by dipped ladyfingers and fluffy mascarpone cheese make this Italian treat a perfect retreat for the weekend! To bid farewell to that summer love, throw in a handful of sliced strawberries and then allow her to do her work and pick you up. After all, that’s what friends are for!

  1. Whisk yolks and sugar until pale (blanchir), add mascarpone and beat until smooth (don’t over beat or mixture will become grainy textured).
  2. Combine espresso and Marsala in a cup. Dip the ladyfingers in the espresso mixture and lay a layer in a flat and rectangular dish.
  3. Cover the fingers with half the mascarpone and yolk mixture. Scantily add a layer of strawberries and then repeat steps 1 and 2.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate shavings over the last layer.
  5. Serve chilled.
