This weekend when I was grocery shopping, I picked up a box of perfectly good blackberries-probably the very last of the season-on sale for fifty-nine cents! Their shiny black beads were close to bursting, so I threw them in a series of delicious smoothies over the last few days. They added great color and flavor, and reminded me how much I love berries in my smoothies. This combination proved to be the best and most ice-cream-shake-like because of the creamy yogurt and texture of the mango.

1 ripe banana
1 cup frozen or fresh mango
1 cup blackberries
3/4 cup milk
1 cup plain whole milk yogurt
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
