Weekly Dish Recommendation: Tarte Flambe at August (New York)

If you have family and friends in the city for the upcoming holidays, I suggest taking stroll through the quaint West Village of Manhattan for a great meal at August.  The space is warm and inviting, perfect for a fall dinner. The Tarte Flambe is a must-eat.  As the days are getting shorter, and temperature drops I recommend this free-from tart from the Alsace region of France. Traditionally made with raw onions, this bacon-topped bread is enhanced with carmelized onions that almost melt in your mouth.  Dollops of creme fraiche complements the salty onions and bacon.  This wood fired starter will ensure a delightful meal!
