I'm fresh off a flight from another trip to Chicago. It was a food-filled weekend and I got to see a lot of friends and met some really cool new people too. I started off the trip at the Chicago Gourmet show in the gorgeous Millennium Park, demoing my Mahi-Mahi burger alongside chef Cat Cora. The next night, I connected with my buddy and fellow Top Chef Master, chef Tony Mantuano. We collaborated on a spectacular dinner, inspired by our cookbooks, my "New American Table" and "Wine Bar Food" by Tony and his lovely wife Cathy. Goose Island was on hand to pair our dinner with some of their delicious craft beers. The best part of the evening was knowing that proceeds of our dinner went to benefit The Louisiana Seafood Industry.
I love going to Chicago and always hate leaving. Looking forward to my next trip. Till next time!
