My Week in Photos for November 4

Another busy week has flown by up here in Harlem and thankfully it started off on the right foot. Monday night Red Rooster played host to Uptown ghouls to the tune of  Harlem beats during our Remy Martin sponsored Halloween party. There's no better way to start the week than with a party.

Tuesday was a different story--jam packed! I paid a visit to the Rachel Ray Show and helped to judge her "Hey Can You Cook?" segment, took a tour of the Harlem Children's Zone with His Royal Highness, Prince Daniel of Sweden during his visit to New York City, which was followed by a special lunch held at Red Rooster. In between all of Tuesday's bustle, I had time to meet a living icon of history, Linda Gunn. Linda served as Norman Rockwell's model for his piece based on the story of Ruby Bridges. Rockwell's painting served as Philip Maysles' inspiration for his current collection displayed at Red Rooster. What an honor to be able to put a face to such an important name!

Wednesday, I joined Prince Daniel again and shared a conversation on food and sustainability with the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce at their Annual New York Green Summit.  This year's summit, titled "Farm to Fork" covered so many important issues at the forefront of the culinary world. It's a conversation I hope to see grow beyond this week and one that will solve issues in the future.
Finally, this morning I had the best time sharing work with my wife in a photo shoot. It is not often we get to work together and it was incredibly special since this week I welcomed Maya home from her journey to the Horn of Africa. I'm so proud of her for delivering the supplies we raised at our Brunch. Her trip was a success and be sure to check in next week to hear her story.
