Of the many food events I get to participate in annually, the Aspen Food & Wine Classic is my absolute favorite. Because of the altitude, it's not an easy place to get to but once you're there, it's paradise. Fresh air, sun, great food & wine. What else could you ask for?

It was great to have some time to catch up with my colleagues and buddies. I also got the chance to connect with some of my really amazing supporters.

Sunday dinner was by far my favorite night of the weekend. Me, Mario Batali, Jose Andres and a few more got together to whip up a delicious meal for each other. Mario made an amazing pasta. Jose brought some really delicious ham. I made a creamy Russian dressing. The best part of the dinner, surprisingly, was not prepared by a chef. My buddy JP Kyrillos from Travel + Leisure, made some of the yummiest roasted chicken I have ever tasted.

All in all, it was a really good time. It's weekends like this that make my job super fun. Can't wait till next year!
