Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem

Photo Courtesy of NCSH The Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem (NCSH) is a free public charter school that recently opened in August 2012 on 124th St. and Lenox, just two blocks from Red Rooster Harlem. The program focuses on a challenging K-8 academic platform that seeks to promote the intellectual, social and emotional development of each child. A unique feature of the school is its fully inclusive programming for high functioning children with autism spectrum disorders. The particular segment of children has been most in need as many children from the Upper Manhattan, Harlem area go undetected for these particular service needs. NCSH will be one of several schools who have the opportunity to visit the Red Rooster Harlem this Fall to learn about meal preparation, healthier eating and overall restaurant business operations.
