Fall Note from Marcus

It’s been an exciting few months for us and I want to share some good news with you. I will be the newest judge on ABC’s The Taste alongside my friends Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson and Ludo Lefebvre. Keep track of our Red Rooster events—You can bet there will be a viewing party once the show airs in the winter. We hope you enjoyed your summer and a shout out to all who kept the energy going out on the patio and inside the bar, swaying to our stellar Monday Night Music and cracking crabs with local Harlem legend Crab Man Mike. A big thank you to John Legend who curated a memorable night when he performed at Ginny's, and it was an honor to host Vernon Reid to celebrate Living Colour's 25th Anniversary. We had fun selling tacos from the Nook at Nite and will continue to do so the rest of the year. And for the regulars, we updated our menu to highlight the most seasonal produce—new favorites are the crab cocktail with horseradish cream and the wild mushroom pasta, and we can’t wait for you to try our new pork dish for two. After a great photo of our Harlem Chowder appeared in The New York Times Dining Section, we'll continue to serve that to our hungry guests. It’s a way to have fun while you’re eating, to share stories and shrimp with your loved ones and to always have a good time.

You probably noticed some art changes in our space—Sanford Biggers took down his incredible orange quilt and put a beautiful fabric mosaic of blues, purples and reds in its place. As we continue to evolve in this space, we want to hear your thoughts and see your photos from memorable nights you’ve shared with us.
