The “C-CAP” is a very brilliant idea, coning from a distinct person like you and sharing your craft tp the wanna-bes… CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Am hoping that this undertaking would spread around, not only in USA, but also in other parts of the world.
I believe, that we, Filipinos (of the Philippines) who loves to eat are also good cook… and to upgrade our “cooking skills” to “culinary level” is very expensive. I do hope, a Filipino Chef – of your caliber, could also initiate the same thing here in the Philippines to help our budding youth who would like to be “chef” someday.
More power and best regards. GOD BLESS!!!
You’re an inspiration. We have a shared vision, celebrating diversity of culture/cuisine and bridging the many different ones. Until I “discovered” you I was hard-pressed to articulate that vision. Thank you for New American Table, Red Rooster and more. I applaud your work with C-CAP and wonder if there are opportunities like that for 40 year olds just now defining what they want their carreer path to be, and would you consider being a part of something like that.
Thanks for all you do! Best Regards.

Hello Marcus,
Do you know any charities that would help Ethopian children in foster care in the US visit their homeland?
Best regards,
Amy
Hi Amy,
We don’t know of any particular charity that deals with that, but we suggest you check with the Ethiopian Embassy to see if such a program exists. Best of luck!
Wow! I just saw you on the Chew. I am an American living in Addis Ababa. You are amazing. Thank you for all that you do. You really got it right. God bless you and all the people you are helping. I have been looking for a way to help here, and now I think that UNICEF is the answer. Thanks for the inspiration!
I live NC and I enjoyed reading about your cooking work and projects, that’s great. I wanted you to be finalist at the Chef challenge, but that’s ok. I Hope to have an opportunity to learn your cooking.
I wanted to Laud you for even typing the Monsanto I have been fighting against all the way to the White House for 4 year’s, I have 5 Sustainable Garden’s in my backyard now, utilizing only Organic Seed.
It has been a difficult fight over the Last Four Year’s to engage people into believing that this is what they are Eating.
I recently watched you on The Next Iron Chef Series, amazing job, I thought you should have closer to winning it . Tell Aaron I said Hello, (Mary’s Husband, He’ll know), and know I fight this Nightly on many venues.
Sincerely and Holiday Wishes

Your show Savoring Harlem was a true inspiration. I’m originally from the Bronx, another town that seems to have been forgotten.
I believe the revitalization of Harlem will inspire others to do the same.
I myself have a great passion for cooking and was excited to here of the non profit organization Incubator. However I cannot find any information on the program. A project such as this can help so many to realize their own culinary dreams.
Sincerely
YB
You are such an inspiration to adoptive parents as well. I would love to hear you address your upbringing as an adoptee and how you dealt with grief and loss issues as well as being taken to a completely different country and help to demystify international adoption.
We are in the process of adopting an older child internationally from an orphanage setting. We watch FoodTV religiously and are looking forward to recreating “play” our child might not have experienced in an institutional setting by cooking with him.
